Create High-Quality SEO Articles Faster Than Ever With This Article Rewriter Tool
If you know more than the absolute basics of SEO, you know that unique content matters for search engines. You can’t simply copy and paste large chunks of a published article into a new piece—or you risk duplicate content penalties.
Instead, you want to create unique and engaging content, even when that means going over some things you’ve already covered on your site. Instead of laboriously reworking a whole bunch of paragraphs—a time-consuming process!—you can use an article rewriter tool to do all the hard work for you.
Article Rewriter Use Cases
Not quite sure when a rewriter tool might come in handy? An article rewriter is a great fit for lots of common blogging and eCommerce situations, such as:
- Writing a bunch of similar product pages. Maybe you sell five different ski hats. You don’t want to start from scratch with every single page … but you don’t want to describe the hats in the exact same way, either.
- Writing tutorials that all start with the same steps. Let’s say you’re writing a series of tutorials about WordPress plugins. They probably all start with steps like “log in to your WordPress admin area” and “go to Plugins→Add New”. You don’t want to laboriously write out those steps every time.
- Creating several articles on similar topics, targeting different keywords and with different focuses. You may want to include much of the same information. For instance, my lists of the best AI blogging tools and best AI writing tools have quite a bit of overlap.
- Putting your research into your own words. Maybe you’ve got some facts from another source that you want to rewrite to avoid plagiarism. The article rewriter tool is a great way to do this easily and quickly.
How to Use this Free Article Rewriter Tool to Create Fresh (Rewritten & Rephrased) Content
Ready to give the article rewriter tool a try? It’s really easy to use, whatever type of content you need to rework: the AI (artificial intelligence) does all the work for you. Here’s how to get started, in 5 simple steps.
Step 1. Choose Appropriate Original Content to Rewrite
First, you’ll need some content that you want to rewrite. If you haven’t yet written it, use my free article writer tool to help.
In many cases, you’ll be rewriting content that you’ve created yourself (or that someone on your team wrote). That could be a blog post or product page from your site. It might be recent or it might be something you wrote months or years ago.
Sometimes, you might be rewriting content someone else created. Perhaps a freelance writer wrote a blog post that you’re going to use as the basis for a bunch of other posts. If so, check they’re happy for you to use their research and ideas in that way.
If you’re rewriting text published by someone else, it’s important to avoid using their work without appropriate attribution. Although the rewriter tool will create 100% unique and plagiarism-free text, you should still cite the source of the ideas.
Tip: You may want to proofread or use a spelling and grammar checker to make sure your original text is accurate. The rewriter tool will understand and correct some misspellings and grammatical errors, but may think that others are intended to be used verbatim.
Step 2. Paste Your Text into the Content Box
Once you’ve selected the text you want to rewrite, simply copy and paste it into the Content box of the article rewriter tool. You can enter up to 1,000 words of text using this free version of my article rewriter—the fully featured version inside RightBlogger has higher limits.
The AI rewriter understands over 20 different languages, so even if your text isn’t in English, you can rewrite it.
Step 3. (Optional) Enter Keywords You Want to Keep in the Content
When you’re optimizing for a particular keyword, you won’t want the rewriter tool to change that keyword phrase. You can enter any specific keywords that you want to keep (or add) into the content in the “Keywords to Include” box.
Step 4. Choose Your Tone and Writing Style
By default, the rewriter tool will give you text in a similar tone and writing style to your input. If you want to change things up a bit, you can choose a different tone here, such as “Fun & Quirky” or “Professional”. Because the tool rewrites sentence by sentence, you might not see a strong effect on the tone and style if you’re going for something quite different from the original writing voice.
Step 5. Generate Your Unique Version of the Text
Now, it’s time to go ahead and create a unique fresh version of your original text. Simply click the “Generate” button and you’ll see your rewritten piece appear before your eyes. Go ahead and copy it into a document (or straight into a WordPress draft) to use for your new article.
Want more variations? You can run the tool over and over again, as often as you want.
Bonus: Use My Free SEO Checklist Alongside This Free Article Rewriter
Most people using the article rewriting tool will be keen to see SEO benefits. To get the most from the tool, here’s my personal SEO checklist for creating high-quality content that search engines will love.
- Use the Yoast SEO plugin for WordPress—one of my favorite plugins
- Make sure you’ve chosen a suitable keyword phrase (one that fits your blog and that you can rank for)
- Craft your article’s headers to encourage rich snippets and to help Google index your content faster
- Only use a single H1 header on your page, for the title at the top
- With your other headers, follow correct header hierarchy (that’s H2s first, then H3s nested beneath those)
- Include your main keyword phrase naturally within your text: don’t go overboard!
- Have plenty of internal and external links (aim for 3–5 external links, or more)
- Create a keyword-rich meta description that really sells readers on the benefits of your article
- Add image alt descriptions for all your images, using keywords within these as appropriate
- Make sure your article is the right length: in most cases, that means 1,500 words or more
- Use the SEO title tool to write a title that’s sure to do well in Google
- Include your primary keyword in the article’s permalink (find out more about permalinks here)
The Features of this Article Rewriter Tool
My online article rewriter is really user-friendly, but maybe you want to dig a little deeper into how the features work. Let’s take a closer look at what it can do.
Content (Paste in Up to 1,000 words)
The article rewriter can tackle up to 1,000 words of copy at a time … but you don’t have to paste in that much! You can use it with as little as a single sentence.
The tool works by rewriting a sentence at a time, so it won’t move information around within a paragraph or section. This makes it suitable for rewriting all sorts of content—including step-by-step instructions.
As you’d expect from its name, we designed the article rewriter to rewrite articles… but you can go ahead and paste in any type of content you want. That might be part of a blog post, social media update, an essay, or even a piece of fiction. The advanced algorithms can cope with whatever you throw at them!
You can use this tool as a sentence rewriter or sentence changer too, but it’s designed to work best with longer pieces of text.
Keywords (Enter Your Primary Keyword(s) to Use in the Text)
The keyword field means that you can make sure the tool keeps (or adds) your most important keywords into the text. You can enter more than one keyword here, separating them with commas. The tool will aim to use these in the rewritten text, but note that if you have a very short piece of text or several different keywords, it may not be able to incorporate them all.
Tone & Writing Style (Change Poorly Written Text to Match Your Voice)
The article rewriter tool lets you pick a tone and writing style. By default, the tool will use a similar style to that of your initial paragraph — but if you want a slightly different tone and style, just select it here. The tool will keep the meaning of your content while adjusting the vocabulary as appropriate. This makes it a great tool for reworking content that simply isn’t in the right voice or style.
Language (Translate Your Text Into a Different Language)
One nifty use of this text rewriter is to use it as a translator. Simply put in your chosen text, pick the output language, and you’ll get a translation in the language of your choice.
For instance, you could enter English text and get a French translation. Or, you could start with Dutch text and get a German translation. There are 20+ different languages to choose from, including all those, plus Chinese, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish, and many more. You could even use the tool to rewrite an article from an American website for a British audience instead, using UK spellings.
Using the tool in this way means you’ll get a paraphrase rather than a word-for-word translation — but all the essential meaning will be preserved.
Article Rewriter Tool FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)
Here are some of the most frequently asked questions I get about this free article rewriter tool I’ve made.
Can you rewrite an article without plagiarizing? (plagiarism-free content)
The article rewriter tool is designed to be used for your own content, so you can save time instead of manually turning old content into new content. That’s content that you’ve written yourself or that you have the rights to use (e.g. you paid a freelancer to write it).
While the tool will completely rewrite the content, making it plagiarism-free, it’s a good idea to cite your source if you’re using it to paraphrase content that you don’t own yourself. That way, you can’t be accused of stealing or plagiarizing the ideas.
What is article spinning and is it ethical and legal?
Article spinning (also called content spinning) is when someone takes an article published online by someone else and uses a tool to rewrite it, before presenting it as their own. Often, article spinning involves creating lots of versions of the exact same piece of content. It’s considered unethical and deceitful, and in many countries it’s a violation of copyright law, making it illegal.
While article spinning is often used as an SEO (search engine optimization) technique to create lots of content fast, it could easily backfire: Google prefers high-quality, fresh content, and may penalize sites that take part in article spinning.
The article rewriter is not designed as an article spinner tool or word spinner. I don’t recommend trying to use it as a spinning tool.
Can I use the article rewriter to create blog posts?
Yes, you can use the article rewriter to create blog posts. In fact, that’s one of the main things it’s designed for!
This works best when you’re creating a new post that naturally will use the same ideas, concepts, or information that you’ve already covered in the past. For instance, if you’re writing a post about your favorite WordPress plugins, you might want to use quite a lot of the same plugins you’ve already covered in a different post.
My other free AI tools, like the outline generator, the introduction writer, the article writer, and the conclusion writer, can also all help you to complete your unique, high-quality blog post. If you just want to rewrite a single paragraph, then the paragraph rewriter is a great tool to try.
Can I use the article rewriter as an essay rewriter?
While I designed the article rewriter tool with bloggers and content creators in mind, you can also use it to rewrite an essay. Perhaps you’ve got a draft or a previous essay you wrote, and you think some of your work needs refreshing or you have concerns about the readability of it. If so, go ahead and use the tool.
If you plan to use this content rewriter tool to rework someone else’s content, keep in mind that you should cite your source. Although the content produced by the tool is plagiarism-free, as it changes every sentence, it’s not appropriate to present it as your own work if you’ve copied it from someone else’s essay or a website. Doing so will likely be considered academic misconduct.
Will the rewritten content pass a plagiarism checker?
The article rewriter is designed to rework every single sentence, not only switching words but changing whole phrases and adjusting sentence structure, to give you a whole new version of your content. This means that the content should generally pass a plagiarism check. However, this can’t be guaranteed with any kind of AI tool, so if you’re concerned about plagiarism, you may want to run your own plagiarism check and edit your content if necessary.
How do search engines treat paraphrased & rewritten articles?
Search engines want unique content, but obviously no blog post or article is going to be 100% unique. Everything you write is likely to draw on existing ideas and concepts and you may not always be able to come up with original words to describe these.
This means that search engines will generally treat paraphrased and rewritten articles in the same way as any other article. It’s important to keep in mind all the usual SEO best practices: for instance, your content should be well-written and easy for the reader to engage with, to help keep readers on your site and avoid having them bounce straight back to their list of search results (which can potentially get your page ranked lower).
My tool uses powerful AI algorithms to rewrite your content intelligently. It doesn’t simply act as a word changer to swap words for synonyms – a technique that old, low-quality article spinners used. Instead, it understands what your sentences mean, and it reworks them accordingly. This means you’re likely to end up creating content that search engines and readers love, as it prioritizes readability as well as uniqueness.
Why did you make this a free tool?
When I got started in blogging (over a decade ago now!) I didn’t have much money to spend.
