Building an email list of targeted potential customers today is how you’ll ensure that you’re actually solving a real problem in the marketplace. By tracking down the right people who are within your target market and building mutually beneficial relationships with them, you’ll create a community of people who will help you build your business in a way that all but guarantees its effectiveness.
Today’s worksheet starts by poking holes in your competitors’ solutions to find the strongest areas of opportunity. Then, you’ll craft an elevator pitch and start building your email list of subscribers (and potential customers).
Lesson 2: The Entrepreneur’s Skill Assessment Guide
In today’s worksheet, you’ll start by uncovering your soft skills, the often overlooked traits and natural abilities that help you interact effectively with people—things like being a good listener, being empathetic, a natural mentor, leader and so on that’ll help you find the right type of business. You’ll also identify your most useful hard skills, the more quantifiable abilities that can be learned and improved over time—things like writing, digital marketing, graphic design, coding and so on. Then, we’ll reach out to the friends, family, co-workers and other people who know you best, to get their opinions on what you’re skilled at. Finally, in the last lesson of this course, you’ll begin combining these strengths with your niche and work with real people to validate an idea in your space.
